Refund and Return Policy

At The Fiddle Leaf, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Because we sell living plants and handmade items, our return policy varies by product type.

Live Plants

Damaged or Dead on Arrival:

  • If your plant arrives damaged or dead, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the plant and packaging
  • We will provide a full refund or replacement at no additional cost
  • Photos must clearly show the damage or condition of the plant

Healthy Plants:

  • Live plants cannot be returned once shipped, as they are perishable living products
  • We guarantee all plants are healthy at the time of shipment
  • Once delivered, we cannot be responsible for plant health due to care, environmental conditions, or other factors beyond our control

Handmade Items (Macrame Plant Hangers, Propagation Stations, etc.)

  • Handmade items may be returned within 7 days of delivery if unused and in original condition
  • Items must be returned in their original packaging
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Refund will be issued once item is received and inspected
  • Custom or personalized items cannot be returned

Flower Subscriptions

  • Flower subscriptions are prepaid and non-refundable
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a delivery, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance
  • We reserve the right to substitute flowers based on seasonal availability

How to Request a Refund or Return

  1. Contact us at thefiddleleaf.ia@gmail.com within the timeframe specified above
  2. Include your order number, photos (if applicable), and description of the issue
  3. We will respond within 1-2 business days with next steps

Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was on our part

Exceptions

We do not offer refunds or returns for:

  • Plants that die or decline after delivery due to improper care
  • Damage caused by extreme weather during shipping (unless heat pack was recommended and not purchased)
  • Change of mind after plants have been shipped
  • Minor variations in handmade items (each piece is unique)
  • Subscription orders after they have been fulfilled

Damaged During Shipping

If your order arrives damaged due to carrier mishandling:

  • Contact us immediately with photos
  • We will work with you to file a claim with the shipping carrier
  • We will provide a replacement or refund once the claim is resolved
